You might think 38 Spesh is a wicked producer but he’s also nice on the mic! If you’ve followed him long enough you can also tell that he’s inspired by some 90’s influences! Here he rhymes over the Onyx beat ”Last Dayz”. ”Returns” is from 38 Spesh’s ”1995” project.

Stēzo feat. Grand Puba, Chris Lowe, Chubb Rock & Kia Jefferies – ”Check One, Two”
Paying homage to the late Stēzo we have an all-star crew of MC’s in Grand Puba, Chubb Rock and Chris Lowe who also is responsible for the fresh production on the compilation album by Stēzo ”The Last Dance”. The album contains some last recordings by Stēzo and material recorded for this project by other artists. The list of legends is simply too long to drop. The album is released on vinyl by Fat Beats and on vocals and song on ”Check One, Two” is also Kia Jefferies. Did I hear fresh for 21!?

Rasheed Chappell & 38 Spesh – ”Affidavit”
This is not totally surprising news to us! Rasheed Chappell and 38 Spesh have done work together before. Now they are about to drop a full album called ”Checks & Balances” through the Italian label Tuff Kong Records. If you’re familiar with the label you know they drop a lot of material on vinyl and this one is no exception. Orders can be placed here.
Pitch 92 feat. Kofi Stone – ”Under The Sun”
One of my personal favourite tracks off the ”Intervals” album by Pitch 92 is ”Under the Sun”. Here’s the animated video to it.
DJ Muggs & Crimeapple – ”Peligrosisimo”
Considering all the music Crimeapple has released during the last 3-4 years you have not seen too many Crimeapple posts on 1200.nu. The most recent album ”Cartagena” is in collaboration with DJ Muggs. Crimeapple continues to deliver rhymes over 80bpm beats based on the same ”criminal” attitude. The rhymes in Spanish on ”Peligrosisimo” flows nicely but the favourite tracks from the album released September 24th are ”Swish” and ”Reputation”. Check ’em out!
King Kashmere – ”Soul Calibur”
Through the UK label High Focus Records is this tune by King Kashmere ”Soul Kalibur”. After his epic work as the vocalist of the infamous Strange U, King Kashmere is back with his first solo single in over ten years and more work together with producer Alecs DeLarge is on the horizon. Keep it locked!
maticulous feat. Kev Brown & J Scienide – ”Close Range”
Whenever these three get together, good ish comes out! The maticulous album coming out is called ”no caps”.
El Da Sensei & Jake Palumbo feat. John Robinson – ”Bring It In Loud”
So far, what I’ve picked up from the collaborative album by EL Da Sensei and Jake Palumbo, sounds quite nice! Keep your eyes and ears open for the rest of it! ”Solving Cases” is the name of the upcoming album.
