R.I.P. Malik Taylor a.k.a. Phife Dawg
Igår gjorde jag ett kort inlägg på mitt Instagram konto om Phife’s bortgång! Inte helt oväntat kom nyheten igår om MC Phifes död. Inte heller helt förvånande att anledningen var diabetesen. #livingwithdiabetes var en av taggarna.
De La Soul är gruppen som fick mig att lyssna på hip-hop men kanske var det A Tribe Called Quest som gjorde att jag blev kär. Phife var MCn som borde ha fått mera cred men kanske var det inte konstigt att det var Q-Tip som fick det mesta av berömmet. Phife var precis som jag en sportfanatiker och jag kunde både relatera och kritisera sportrhymesen.
Slutligen är min alias Funky Diabetic tagen från Phifes berömda line ”…when’s the last time you heard a funky diabetic…” från ”Oh My God”.
Kanske var det svårt att kombinera artistlivet med bra mat ja…och jag vet trots allt inte hur svår diabetes (typ 1 diabetes gissar jag att Phife hade) han hade men inte tycker jag att man ska dö av den!
Vila i frid MC Phife Dawg! Tack för grym musik och rhymes! Tack för glädjen din musik har gett mig!

Gott nytt år alla! 2015 har varit ännu ett bra år. Livet rullar på bra med familj och barn! Om det är något jag är mindre nöjd med så är det hur ofta jag har skapat inlägg på 1200. Jag kör väldigt hårt på mina principer och en av de är att jag inte lägger upp musik om inte jag tycker att det är bra. Skit i hur populär artisten är eller hur länge den har toppat ”hit” lista! Av den anledning har jag inte skapat så många inlägg som jag skulle vilja. Inte för att det inte finns tillräckligt bra musik men framförallt därför att jag numera nästan lägger upp videos och inte alls lika många soundcloud (eller liknande) länkar.
Jag har haft ett Spotify konto länge men är ingenting jag använder. Jag inser att Spotify är populär och lyckligt blev jag när jag hittade de 4 skivor jag tycker är de bästa som har släppts i år på Spotify! Så, jag har skapat en spellista så att ni kan gräva er lite djupare. Länken hittar ni här. Jag lägger också upp några videos från dessa 5 skivor i detta inlägg.
